The IYI Udo Legacies
IYI-UDO Foundation is an independent private philanthropic organization committed to improving the quality of life for disadvantaged people, by supporting primarily health and education interventions implemented by Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Community-Based Organisations (CBOs), faith-based organizations, youth organizations, women’s groups and similar groups working to better mankind.
The Foundation was established in 2014 by The children of the Late Madam Clara Orete Akogun; a rare gem who was indeed “a mother for all”. Mama was an astute and successful businesswoman, whose legacy we are trying to fill and expand in this foundation. In 2015 The Foundation became legally operational and has continued to make meaningful contributions to mankind in need.
The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
